We had a pretty lazy day today and it was really nice.  Also the sun made an appearance which has not been the norm lately!  Our nieces spent the night with us last night and we all had a good time!  I think Colin is still tired from all of the playing he did with them.  :)   Luke and I got a rare opportunity to go to a movie this afternoon thanks to his mom coming over to watch Colin.  Am I the only one who thinks it is crazy to pay $9.50 to see a movie?  Especially in a movie theater where I used to pay $7...nothing has changed about the theater.  They haven't made it any nicer and the movies don't look any different now than they did then, at least not to me.  Oh well, it was great to get out and do something just the two of us anyway.  :)  Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  Here are some Colin pics, just because.  :)

Where did January go?!?!

Disclaimer: I have been wanting to start a blog since Colin was born and we did have one on the Mac/with Mac, I don't know - I couldn't figure out how to do it so I am doing it here and now.  :) 

Holy cow, the month of January was barely even here before it was over.  I can't believe our sweet little boy is one year old!  Read below for what has happened so far in 2010.

Colin started walking on 1/2/2010...we were at the beach for New Years to visit my grandparents.  He was so proud of himself (we were pretty proud too!) and it was the best.  Now the kid will not stop or slow down for anything!

He also got his first  haircut.  He was a champ - no tears from him (or me either).  We were in and out of that place in about 10 minutes.

The biggest milestone of January was Colin's first birthday on January 26, 2010.   This is a picture of him going to school on his bday wearing the cutest bday shirt!  (Stacey Grass -  look her up!)

We took him to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate and learned two things: this kid loves cheese pizza and would be content riding the same barney ride at chuck e cheese for eternity.  :)  He also loves chocolate cake - you can see where he gets that from.

I can't wait to see what this new year will bring for my little family and I hope to update this blog on a regular basis for those of you who are interested.  :)  Talk to you soon!
