A Long but Exciting Week!

This is the first week back to work that I have had to work all 5 days and it has been so incredibly LONG! I know, you feel really bad for me, right? At least we have another holiday coming up in less than a month and you know I am definitely counting down the days! Even though it has been a long week it has also been a really great week filled with exciting happenings.

On Sunday I went to Bailey’s baby shower and had a marvelous time celebrating baby Jack and his marvelous mama. Take a look at her blog for all of the updates on Jack – he is doing exceptionally well and it seems like every day this week has been filled with good news. According to Bailey he is having his second surgery the first week of July and hopefully will be sent home a couple weeks after that. Plus he is growing like a weed – like I said, check out her bloggity blog! Tuesday I got to have a girls lunch w/Bailey and that is always a highlight of my week – to actually escape the four windowless walls and get out of the hospital for an hour always makes for a great day.

On Wednesday we got the news that Miss Kirsten Alexis Moon had arrived and I was tickled pink! (get it?). We went to visit her and her parents (Ryan & Kandace) on Thursday and I swear, I did not want to leave the hospital. She is so cute and tiny and perfect and lovey…here are a couple pictures Luke snapped w/the Iphone because of course we forgot our camera.  Ignore the weird look on my face...I was in baby bliss mode! :) I didn't get any of Luke w/Kirsten because I was too busy being a baby hog!

I cannot wait to see her and hold her again – holding a newborn just brings back all of the precious memories of my little man being so new and tiny and I love it! Plus, did I mention how sweet she is?


Today, Friday, we found out our nieces will be staying with us for the weekend and I am so super excited! We have big plans for the weekend and I can’t wait to pick them up after work today!!! I will post again on Sunday with highlights from the weekend. Happy Friday!
